Starbucks vegan menu

I always try and support independent coffee shops whenever I can but they aren’t always there when you need a caffeine buzz or don’t always provide milk alternatives. Working at Starbucks UK I’m able to view every ingredient list and nutritional guide there is, enabling me to provide you all with a menu of items you can have when you next visit! Not only that but I will give you my personal recommendations and updates on new products. I have also experimented with a lot of drinks, creating new ones that actually taste better than some of their own.. I call this Sophia’s Secret Starbucks menu or SSSM for short. Ssssssmmmmmm cofffeeeeee.

Stay clear of:

  • Caramel drizzle
  • Chai tea latte (chai concentrate contains honey)
  • Pumpkin spice
  • Eggnog
  • Signature hot chocolate
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles/toppings
  • Java chip

So for the drinks menu:

(Any of these with Soya milk or Coconut milk)

  • Americano
  • Latte
  • Cappuccino
  • Expresso
  • Expresso macchiato
  • Filter
  • Classic hot chocolate
  • Mocha
  • Cafe misto
  • Gingerbread latte
  • Toffee nut latte
  • Coconut latte
  • Coffee base frappuccinos without cream & drizzle
  • Creme base frappuccinos without cream and topping
  • Caramel coffee jelly frappuccino with soy no cream, no drizzle
  • All leaf tea bags
  • Mango passion fruit juice blend
  • Raspberry zen tea juice blend
  • Mulled Apple (without chai)
  • Mulled grape (without chai)
  • Any coffee drink iced
  • Innocent smoothies
  • Water (shocker I know)

Food items:

  • Moreish Meze salad
  • Christmas veggie feast flatbread
  • Perfect porridge soy with berries
  • Dark chocolate bar
  • Smoked almonds
  • Fruit and nut mix
  • Fruit salad
  • Fruit mix
  • Banana
  • Peppermints
  • Raw Raspberry nut bar
  • Peanut and cashew bar
  • Sugar free gum
  • Starbucks sweeties
  • Popchips salt
  • Popchips salt and vinegar
  • Candy canes

Sophia’s Secret menu:

  • Vegan Chai tea latte: 2 chai tea bags + 4 shots vanilla + hot soya milk no water + cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkles
  • Americano misto: Americano half way + hot dry soya
  • After eight hot chocolate: Classic hot chocolate + soya + peppermint syrup
  • Cinnamon roll latte: Hot soya + cinnamon syrup + vanilla
  • Marzipan latte: Soya latte + almond syrup + vanilla
  • Summer berry blend: Iced hibiscus tea bag + passion tea + 1 vanilla syrup
  • Banoffee pie frappuccino: Banana + coffee base + soy + caramel syrup + ice + blended

I really recommend trying the SSSM chai tea latte or if you’re not a fan of loads of milk (like me) I tend to have a venti + 2 chai tea bags + 3/4 hot water + hot soy + 4 sf vanilla. Adding syrups to the coffees is great as gives it a nice sweet kick if you’re having any cake cravings!

You can have your coffee just how you like it, just ask:

  • Dry- foamy
  • Wet- no foam
  • Extra hot
  • Warm – kids temp
  • Decaf
  • Origin expresso – premium roast coffee (extra 20p)

And by the way, baristas will love you if you ask in this order:

  1. Size of cup
  2. Drink
  3. Extra shots
  4. Decaf or origin
  5. Syrups
  6. Type of milk
  7. With or without cream
  8. Custom
  9. Name

And always top up your rewards card BEFORE you order. Makes our lives easier 🙂 or order from the app!

I hope all you fellow coffee addicts find this information useful. (A mobile/tablet friendly version has been beautifully created below in comments.) Enjoy those caffeine vibes!

  1. Hi Sophie, great post. Just wondering why the chai latte isn’t vegan, as I’ve checked the Starbucks info online and thought it was okay. Am annoyed with myself for not being more thorough :/ Also, I love the look of your SSSM chai latte – how would I go about asking for that? Do I just ask for the all the ingedients in a cup? Thank you!

    1. Hello! Thank you Hun! The chair tea latte has honey in the chai syrup we use unfortunately. Don’t be too hard on yourself, you weren’t to know! Thank you it’s my favourite atm. Yes! Obviously you can redesign it to your own taste but I order a Venti 2 chai tea bags, 5-6 pumps sugar free vanilla & half hot soy half water. Bit of a mouthful but we are used to fussy orders;)
