Ethical Fashion Event Hits Shoreditch

Since February, Vevolution an events and media startup launched in 2016 have been holding monthly sold-out events at co-working and events space The Trampery in Shoreditch (a great area to be in if you’re all about fashion). I have been to as many as I can and they have all been so inspiring and really eye opening.

Next week 2nd May the focus turn to ethical fashion for the finale of this Vevolution residency. Amongst the speakers are the founders of vegan watch company Votch and high-end vegan shoe company Bourgeois Boheme.

The series of events called Vevolution Topics have seen a new vanguard of vegan thinkers give talks sharing their stories and ideas for creating a better world.
“Sadly over the years the fashion industry has been based on the exploitation of animals, people and planet. We are excited for Vevolution Topics to showcase a new generation of vegan businesses who are innovating to create sustainable fashion free from suffering” says Vevolution co-founder Judy Nadel.
So far attendees of the Vevolution Topics series have seen talks delivered from the likes of vegan video recipe sensation BOSH!, startup allplants, professional stuntman and parkour athlete Chase Armitage and film-maker Ali Tabrizi who is directing Seaspiracy a new film made in partnership with the creators of Cowspiracy.

When discussing the impact of Vevolution co-founder Damien Clarkson said “Vevolution celebrates the emergence of a scene of creatives dedicated to creating a world free from animal suffering.
Over the past 3 months we have witnessed the huge impact these events have had on attendees. It has been a pleasure bring people together creative people who many who have started working together to create new businesses and ideas to help the world learn about veganism”.

Vevolution draws on inspiration from TED Talks and Do Lectures and makes all of their talks available for free on YouTube. Later this year the startup plan to re-launch their website and a comprehensive home for their growing library of free educational talks.
I am super excited for this event and look forward to seeing what Vevolution has in store for us!
